Trick or Treat

Halloween started with a neighborly potluck at our home. It was supposed to be in the culdesac, but since it had been raining all day and all night, we had to move it indoors. I loved having all our neighborhood friends over and sharing some nourishing food, before the trick or treating began. Here is Christiana as Alice in Wonderland, and Eliza as, of course, a witch. This is a "before" picture. They ended up wearing raincoats the rest of the night. It didn't slow them down any. Eliza did poop out, but insisted on trick or treating as long as Christiana. She endured to the end! These are all the children that came over for dinner. They behaved so well. What a relief! We had some teenagers too that were not in the picture and a few more little ones that came late.

I found this choker necklace and trick or treat bag at our neighborhood garage sale. It was towards the end, and they just gave them to me. Now that's a bargain!

Don't freak. Gabi first tried on Christiana's skirt for her costume; I found this one at the thrift store and it is longer. Thank goodness. I think they are bad school girls. Oh my! I am glad that is just for Halloween.

These girls all went trick or treating together. Their costumes reflect their individuality.

Remember those days, when we used to dump out all our sacks of candy and trade? That was so fun! Well, that is what the girls did today. I didn't have any candy and still managed to get some that I wanted. How bout' that?
