Big Canoe

Rick, Wendi, Robert, Sharon, Emmaline, Randy, and I took a day trip to Big Canoe up in the North Georgia mountains. The weather was gorgeous and so were the mountains and these lovely homes. We first stopped by this darling Christmas home in a small little subdivision in the mountains. It was so quaint and a perfect spot for retirement. Any takers? Mom, Dad? You would love this.

I love this cozy family room decked out for the holidays. See that doggie on the chair? He looks real, doesn't he?

Outside of the family room was this beautiful deck with quite the view. Don't laugh, all you Utahns. We are grateful for the mountains we have! They also had a screened in porch off the master bedroom. It was completely decorated for Christmas as well. I wanted a picture, but people kept going in there-people I didn't know. I did not need them in my picture.

This house is the Dream Home. It was 9200 square feet and had all the special touches. It was pretty amazing. Honestly, a little overwhelming for me, but still fun to go and see. The curtains alone in the master bedroom cost $9,000! Crazy! Sorry, I didn't take any pictures of the inside. Maybe next time. You can just imagine.

It was fun day out. Wendi even fixed lunch for all of us before we left. If it wasn't for Wendi, we would probably never take the time to do fun things like this. Thanks Wendi!

How fun! I love to walk through homes, especially at christmas time. Don't you love it when you have someone in the family that sets up outings like that. Heaven knows I don't have that talent.

That looks like a wonderful outing in the mountains. I would love it. Retirement??? What's that? It does look like a great spot. I want the big house with a housekeeper!Do you think you could arrange that?
