On the left is Gabrielle's best friend Haley. She does not belong to our church but comes to all the activities with Gabrielle. She is a wonderful singer too and plays the guitar. She told me before it started that Gabrielle is going to be awesome and that I was going to cry. She was right.Wednesday, November 11, 2009
Young Women in Excellence
We attended Gabi's Young Women in Excellence program last night. The theme was how a lighthouse keeps us moving in the right direction and protects us from becoming lost. A couple of the young women made this light house that actually had a ray of light coming from it. The room was dark and all you could see was the light from the lighthouse. The girls spoke and sang. One of the highlights was when Gabi sang the solo, "Lightkeepers." There was a certain part of the song when all the young women in the audience started singing with Gabrielle, holding small flashlights. It was beautiful. I was proud of Gabs. She is used to usually singing with someone and this time it was all her. She did a great job.
