Short Lived (literally)

Thursday night, Gabrielle ran back into the church after I had come to pick her up from Mutual. She had forgotten her fish that she had won at their "Un-Birthday Party" at Young Women's. I asked her friend what she was talking about. She described the fish, but I didn't think it was real. Then, I saw Gabrielle running back out with a fish bowl full of water and a REAL goldfish. "Oh!", I said, " Your bringing home a new pet???" She proceeded to tell me about winning the fish and that one of the leaders was giving them away since they were getting a cat and were worried about the cat eating the fish. "Oh, and by the way, the fish will die in a few days or less. I am thinking, "Then WHY did they send you home with a fish for a prize? I don't want a dead fish, not to mention everyone will be sad when it dies, AND I will have to dispose of it most likely. Well, to make a long story short. Gabrielle gave the goldfish to Eliza and she did warn her that it would die soon. Sure enough, Eliza came into my room this morning and told me that the fishy died. It was laying at the bottom of the bowl on the marbles. Eliza sometimes likes to talk AROUND how she is truly feeling. I wish I could remember exactly what she said. It was something to the effect, that she didn't like it when things happen that she didn't want to happen, but much more alusive. I have got to write these things down. She asked me if the fish would come back alive. When I told her no, she couldn't understand why? "Won't we come back alive after we die?" I told her that after we die and Jesus comes again, we will all come back alive. She said, " You mean the resurrection! The fish will come back alive in the resurrection!" I knew that little girl was smart. She has been paying attention in Primary. It was fun having a fish for about 1 day or so. Maybe we will have to get a small fish tank someday and have a few fish. Christiana and Eliza thought it was the greatest thing ever while it lasted.

Anna told me you guys had a fish.
I said is it in a bowl, if it is it's going to die.She didn't know. I guess I should have told what to put it in to keep it a live.
Anna won a fish and after it died, it took us about 4 fishes to figure out how to keep it alive.
I'll tell you the story one day.
