Hungry?

Eliza came downstairs well after she had been put to bed. I said, " What are you doing here?" She looked at me very seriously, with big blue eyes and cute little face, " I just don't get enough to eat on Thursdays." I said, "You don't?" She said, "No, we eat our pizza really early for lunch and it makes me full and then I'm hungry later." I said, "Would you like something to eat?" She said, "yes." She got a piece of bread and went to bed. This happens quite often at our house. She does not realize that she has not had enough to eat until she has been in her bed for a while. Will this child ever eat enough? This was not meant to turn out to be a sad story. I just thought how funny she was talking about not getting enough to eat on Thursdays. That's our Eliza Jane! Don't worry Mom. She does eat.
