Conference Weekend
General Conference this weekend was uplifting. For those of you that aren't familiar with conference, it is held twice a year on a Sat. and Sun. in the Conference Center is Salt Lake City, Utah. It is broadcast all over the world for all members of the church to hear. We are blessed to hear talks given by our church leaders and to hear beautiful music by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. It is a wonderful opportunity to receive spiritual strength and direction in our lives. There is so much to be reminded of and to learn over and over again. Many talks that were given, I felt like they were talking straight to me. There is so much to take in all at one time. I find it necessary to write things down as I listen. I want to remember the things that stood out to me. If we listen and then go about with our daily activities we are likely to forget much of the spiritual impressions we received during the conference. I am going to take some time to read over my notes and just think about the things that were said and how I can apply them to my own life. Pondering is a necessary step to learning and changing our lives. I loved President Monson's talk on service in the first session on Sunday, Richard G. Scott's talk on recognizing spiritual promptings, and Elder Bednar's talk on setting our families in order. For those of you that were able to watch, what were some of your favorite talks?

I do the same thing at my church, write things down to remember them and go over them later.
I especially loved Elder Ballard because of his intense presentation to the members. I also picked the same ones you did and also Sis Dibbs? Pres Monson's daughter who is in YW. I love conference!
I did love Elder Ballard but it was Elder Holland that rocked my world about members and the Book of Mormon. What a testimony.
