Our neighborhood put on a Halloween Haunted Trail this weekend. Just for the fun of it, (we have some very energetic people in our subdivision) they made our walking trail a frightful stroll. I thought we would ride on the back of a tractor or something, but we actually walked along the spooky trail, till we came out on the other side of the neighborhood. Christiana's friend, Anna wanted her to go with her and her dad. When I mentioned it to Eliza, she was quite enthusiastic about going herself. I asked her if she was sure and she was sure, SO off we went. Randy came too.
Christiana was scared before it even started, as you can imagine, and Eliza was up for it. As we walked along, it gradually got scarier as zombies, and other scary characters came out at us. Randy had Christiana with him, and I had Eliza. She just walked straight ahead, anxious to get through it. She was pretty brave! When we came out, she said, "that wasn't too scary!" I was like, "Are you kiddin'???" It was so enjoyable walking in the cool air. I love this time of year.
Anyway, when it was time for bed tonight, Eliza wanted me to come upstairs with them to get ready for bed, AND wanted me to keep her door open. I guess she was just a little scared. Christiana said that her dad made her cry. What a mean daddy! He said he was just trying to have fun with her and show her the cool things about the trail. I don't know, if I was her, I would be happy to have those big ole' arms wrapped around me for protection.
Gabs went to church dance tonight dressed as a soccer player. She is a very cute soccer player, although she has never played soccer a day in her life, and Spencer and Randy have been watching the BYU game. I can't wait to see everyone's Halloween pictures this weekend! Have any of you been "booed" yet this year? Happy Halloween!

Sounds like a very fun night. My dad, my friend Abigail and Aunt Lindsay and a couple of her close friends and I went to Nightmare on 13th Street a couple weeks ago. We had the greatest time ever!!! There were chain saws, mazes and every scary thing you can imagine. A lot of screaming went on but no tears. I cant wait to see all of the kids costumes!
Love,
Katherine
Anna said she heard Chrisiana crying. I think the trail is one of the cool things this neighborhood does.
What a great neighborhood activity. I imagine the dads who put it together had more fun than the kids. I would like to go on that "spooky jaunt" with you. By the way. I love your new background for fall. Great job.
