That made my day!

Sometimes some of the littlest things can make your day. Just a few days ago, I was feeling so tired, running EVERYWHERE imaginable and having to do just 1 more thing was just too much. Well, Randy left his credit card and I.D. at the bank. Actually, the lady that worked there forgot to give it back. What a hassle! He was already halfway to Snellville when he realized this, so he called me to go and pick it up. I could tell the woman really felt bad and was embarrassed, she tried to make up by giving Eliza AND ME a lollipop. How silly to give me one too, but it was a nice gesture. As we were about to walk out, this nice older woman stopped us and said, " Let me guess, she must be five years old," as she was looking, admiring the cute Eliza Jane. I said, "Yes, you are right." She said, " I have a grand-daughter the same age. She is a blondy too, like you, but I must say, you are actually a little bit prettier than her." "Oh, thank you!" I said, as I laughed. Oh my heavens! Did she just say Eliza was prettier than her own grand-daughter? That cracked me up! It is one thing to think it, but to actually say it. Well, I must say, that did brighten my day.

Then to top it off, there just so happened to be a Dollar Store right across from the bank The YW's pres. and I had been looking for recipe boxes just the right size and color for YW's the next night. Everything was a little too pricey, plus they were the wrong color and nobody had enough of them. Girls don't want black! They have to have pretty colors! So, even though I was tired of running around and I hadn't even had a shower that day OR makeup for that matter, I hope I maybe at least brushed my hair, ( I can't remember ), I still decided to check it out. What do you know? They had a huge stock of $1 pretty colored recipe boxes of blue, green, and red with colored recipe cards to match! I just love it when stuff like that happens! Little blessings are all around us. Just a small example of how Heavenly Father is mindful of us. The key is to recognize our blessings every day!
