Funny Kids
Eliza had one of her little preschool friends over after school today. This was her first visit to our home. She sure had a cute personality. Not shy at all! While we were eating lunch she was chatting away as most kids do (that aren't shy), and I have to admit I was really into my lunch and not paying as much attention as I should have been. Eliza had gone to the bathroom and this little girl noticed that I had not responded to her jabber. She smiled at me and said "Hmm?", like "aren't you going to answer me?" I looked up at her and said, "Oh yes, that is very cool." Then she looked at me condescendingly, and said still in a very pleasant tone, " Now, don't talk with your mouth full. You need to wait until you are finished chewing, o'kay?" "Oh, I am so sorry," I replied. What a little gooseberry! I will make sure I behave myself better, next time she comes to play.

Don't children just light up your life! Saturday while helping Lindsay get ready for her party David and I went into a grocery store. At the check out were two darling little curly headed blonde girls about 2 and 4. They were sitting in a little car shopping cart as we came in. They looked at us and the 4 year old said "Hi Gramma" Startled, I looked around to find that I was the one she was talking to so I replied with a smile and a "Hi". She was delighted....so was I. It was awesome.
