The Events of the Day

At the Christmas piano recital, Christiana played "Carol of the Bells," and "Angels We Have Heard on High." She had them both memorized. She was second on the program and was very, very nervous. She relaxed as she began playing and did very well. Way to go, girlie!
We found out a week before the recital that Christiana's cousin, Leah was taking lessons from the same teacher. We had no idea! So, we requested they be at the same recital time.

Christiana is one of 85 children in the school's Kemp Chorale. They will sing on the square before the lighting of the Christmas tree. There will be a parade and Santa is coming with real reindeer! This is Christi with her friend Mia. They were in the same class a couple of different times at Kemp Elementary. They are lining up to get ready to sing. It was freezing cold. My toes were completely numb by the end of the evening.
It was too cold to see their ADORABLE uniforms. They were given permission to bundle up, thank heavens. They wore black dress pants and dress shoes, a tuxedo shirt with peacock blue cumberbund and bow tie. Christiana could not understand the concept of tucking in her shirt. She said it looked "GROSS". She also said she looked like a boy, but I am here to tell you they all looked precious. I will post a picture after their indoor concert.

Wow! Christmas is here! We have so many events to go to and will continue through next week as well. But, it is so fun! Whatever are we going to do to keep ourselves occupied in January? I always think that I will have SO much time in January, but for some reason it never happens. Could it be that we are the parents of 4 kids? That is all that needs to be said. Kids--they keep you movin'. Isn't is great?

Wow. I would never have known Leah. What a pretty girl. They look so cute. The Kemp Chorale looks like a fun group too and Gabrielle is becoming such a little beauty. Of course Eliza and Randy are adorable. Soon she'll be too big for that. She looks pretty comfortable up there. What a fun time of year. Wish I were there. Love you.
