My wonderful sister, Lindsay is coming tomorrow! I haven't told the kids, but will tell them today. You just never know with Lindsay. She might change her mind. :) So, now that she officially has the ticket, I am going to tell the family today. They will be so excited. We have mighty plans to clean and organize. I am a little nervous about this actually happening because of our never ending busy schedule. But, with the 2 of us we should be able to get some things done.
Today the kids are out of school for Election Day and a Teacher Workday. The big kids both had parties to go to last night. A party on a Monday night? When there is no school the next day, these teens want to take full advantage of the opportunity. Randy was is Savannah, so I had to manuever with much creativity how to get Spencer and Gabrielle to 2 separate parties and home when my little ones were going to bed and then fast asleep. I guess, if we lived in Utah, their friends would just be down the street and it wouldn't be much of an issue. My kids keep me hopping.
Christiana sang at Kroger last night for a Kemp Math Night. The kids each had clipboards for their grade and were sent around the store figuring and counting different items. It was a great way to teach practical math. Anyway, Christiana is in the Kemp Chorale and they sang twice throughout the night. They sounded wonderful considering they had only 2 practices. I didn't bring my camera, but they have plenty of performances coming up. One of which is Barnes and Noble night next Monday. I will be sure to get some pics.
Happy Voting!
Oh yeah, by the way, Gabrielle and Christiana sang in Young Women's on Sunday; "To Be Like Him," a Jenny Phillips song. It was beautiful. I was so proud of them. They will also be singing it again in sacrament meeting on Nov. 30th. Alison, do you and your family want to come?
