Otherwise Known as the Funky Uncle

I think my brother, Chris got this nickname from my darling neice, Katherine. Correct me if I'm wrong. But, Chris is definitely funky in his own special way. You will never meet anyone like him. I knew he was coming to visit, but we hadn't touched base and we were so busy it slipped my mind while we were at church one Sunday. After Relief Society, Christiana and Eliza come rushing in and tell me, "Chris is here!" "My brother, Chris?" I said. "Yes!" I was already a little teary eyed from the lesson and then to hear my little brother is out in the hallway, I completely lost it. He must have thought I was crazy. We spent one day together and it was quite eventful. Eliza and Christiana were a little shy around him at first, since he threatened to hug them, but they got over that quick.



We asked him if he wanted to go on a walk through the neighborhood and the first thing he asked was, "Do you have a scooter?" Really? Are you o'kay to scooter in your Sunday clothes? I thought he was just going to scooter just like everybody else, but no, he did all kinds of crazy tricks the entire way. Yes, he is very entertaining. So entertaining, that when we passed the tennis courts where the ladies were taking a break at the pavillion, he got cheers and applause for his jump over the speed bump. After my dad coming and putting on a show at La Parilla, Uncle John visiting and making us play games all the time and have pizza parties, and then Chris pulling all his stunts for the neighborhood, I remembered how fun and crazy my family is. Wow! Could they just tone it down, just a little? I don't think so.

Who does that????

Oh, and the double scooter thing was my favorite. One of my neighbors drove by and asked if we had good insurance. He swerved down the hill like they were skis.

Gabs played a few songs for him before he left. It was quite the visit. Unforgettable!
