Kickball 101

The 4th grade Kickball Tournament is tomorrow. Christiana expressed some apprehension about it to her Dad, so he gave her a full explanation on how to play kickball and then proceeded outside to try it out. I think she feels much more confident now and is actually excited about the BIG tournament. I am grateful my hubby takes time to do this for his kids.

Oh, and a brief explanation for our brown grass. We have bermuda grass, which is very popular in the south, probably because it thrives in the heat. It goes dormant in the winter and will gradually get greener as it warms up. It's ugly when it's cold, but very lush in the heat of summer.

Kickball 101- Let me assure you, this was a very thorough and detailed explanation of the game. This is just a glimpse. Christiana was quite attentive and enthusiastic about learning something new. Love her.

Let's see some action! We couldn't find a decent ball. Pitiful! We used Christiana's boosterthon beach ball. It would have to do. Eliza came in crying and sorrowful about breaking Chrisitana's ball when she kicked it. It was a beach ball, afterall. It wasn't her fault. :)

Thanks for sharing cute Christi and Randy at play. I love how serious Randy is about it. I bet she will do great tomorrow.

Now that I think about it, we had the same kind of grass in Houston. Our grass is green and fluffy now but will need serious R & R come mid-summer.

I forgot to mention that I got my girls into the same session of EFY as last year. Wish your guys were coming with. Next year for sure!

Love to you all!

Go Christiana. That was a great kick!
Randy should be a teacher of everything. He makes it all make sense.

Now. If Randy can help the girls decide what to eat at a restaurant I'll be even more impressed!

Remember Randy questioning Christiana to make sure she really wanted the right thing at Hires?
