Mother's Day

Mother's Day is such a wonderful day. I especially enjoyed it this year. Randy and I both had the opportunity to speak in church today. It is such privilege to be able to honor our mothers' in this way. The other great thing about it was that Randy was at church with us and home with us for most of the day. He started a new business and has been burning the candle at both ends for some time now. It was so nice to have him with us. Christiana and Gabrielle had sweet homemade gifts for me and all the kids together got me this beautiful outfit (Gabi and Randy picked it out) that I am wearing plus some thoughtful cards. We all gathered at my sister-in-law, Lauri's house and the men cooked on the grill. Randy bought steaks and studied the best way to cook them for about an hour on the internet today. You just gotta love Randy!
The first picture is me, my mother-in-law Ellen, my sister-in-laws Sharon and Lauri, then Lauri's mother in law Marcia and her daughter Karen. We were missing Wendi this year. She had sick kids and was also not feeling well herself. We were also missing my niece Meggan who is in California with her husband Paul, looking at a possible job there. The next picture is of course me with my adorable children. It is such a blessing to be a mother. I finished the evening with a nice talk with my own wonderful mother and enjoyed hearing about the lovely day she enjoyed too. I am glad my family in Utah takes such good care of her. Happy Mother's Day to all of you!

Carrie, you look like one of the kids. It took me a second to find you. Loved the outfit too! I had Brett return the Albertsons cake he bought for Mother's Day. What was he thinking? We ended up with a yummy rich chocolate one from Normandies with REAL frosting;) Anyway, we can't wait to see you all in July. Have a great week!
