Graduation

This was Eliza's last day of school with her McEachern Methodist school bag and her plate that I put in the window all year so that I could pick her up. It has her teacher's last name and her number. Eliza is my little "Brantley 5!" Eliza's class had a party at one of her classmate's home. It was a Luau party, but none of the kids dressed up. We have a really cute grass skirt with headband, anklet, lei and all. (I don't know how to spell that.) She wouldn't wear it. Should I be surprised? It is quite a celebration when you get to eat puffed Cheetos, pretzels, Fritos, and chocolate chip cookies for lunch! The kids wouldn't eat the sandwiches because they had mayonnaise on them. Yuck!
Eliza, Anna, Griffin and Isabelle are just a few of the cute kids in her class. This is what they wore for Graduation. And "yes" it was the cutest program ever! They sang several songs with dances to go with them. Each hand print on their shirt is of the kids in their class.

Eliza had her end of the year party today and her Preschool Graduation tonight. It is so cute to hear her talking about "graduation." Tonight, when we got home, I told Eliza to do something. I can't remember what, but she kind of mumbled to herself, " I can't believe everyone is still telling me what to do." I asked her what she said. I wasn't sure that I heard her right and she said, " I'm so tired." I think she was trying to cover up what she said. She had this funny look on her face. I might be mistaken, but it seems to me that Eliza thought as soon as she "graduated," she would be "big girl" and she would no longer need to be told what to do. I reassured her that I even still tell Spencer what to do AND Daddy! I think she got the picture.

How great to see how she grew up that last year. Every pic was adorable but what would you expect??? It's Eliza. What precious memories.
