The Temple with the Girls

Randy has been working in California since Dec. 1, 2015.  The girls and I have been fending for ourselves.  We miss Randy so much, but we are grateful for his job there and we have received so much strength from our Heavenly Father to help us through.

Randy came back to visit for about a week over Christmas break and then 3 1/2 weeks later he came again for just a few days. The first time he came home over Christmas, I really wanted to make sure we went with the girls to the temple while he was home.  I am so glad we did. We took them to do baptisms.  We tried to find some family names, but it was difficult to find one, so we just went and used names from the temple file.  I didn't know this, but normally they reserve names only for the youth to perform baptisms, but they found some extra names from our stake so they allowed me to do some baptisms as well.

Randy performed the baptisms.  There were a lot of people there already, so we had to wait for just a bit, but it did not take nearly as long as they told us it would.  We were thankful for that.  It was such a joy to be in the temple with Christiana, Eliza, and Randy.  We had never done this just as a family and it was a sweet experience.  I loved being with the girls and helping them in the dressing room and then to have Randy do the baptisms and just to have him there with us was so wonderful.

When we finished it was cold outside, but the warm sun was shining and it felt nice.  Our hair was still damp and our faces makeup free.  Doing baptisms at the temple always make you feel so clean almost like it was your own.  Christiana did not want me to take a picture, but this day was so special to me and I wanted to remember it, so I talked her into it.  Randy will be leaving again, so everything we do together is so much more meaningful.  I am thankful for the temple and look forward to going again with my family soon.
