Everything in May

Christiana has been playing viola in orchestra for the past 3 years in middle school.  She has enjoyed it and will now move on to high school next year and continue.  We were happy to celebrate this last concert in middle school.  They played all kinds of fun music; my favorite being "Don't Stop Believin', by Journey.  I think all the parents really appreciated that one!

Eliza's Field Day was perfect.  It was warm enough for water games and laying in the sun.

Christiana played beautifully at her spring piano concert.  The recitals are getting better and better as the students are progressing and getting more and more advanced.

 These cute 8th graders went to their 8th grade dance together.  Christiana wasn't planning on going at first, but then ended up being the one to get them all dancing!

For Mother's Day, I asked for a spring tablecloth and they did a great job picking a red floral for me.  I love it!

Gabrielle has never tryed out for a solo her entire 4 years in chorus.  She completely downplayed the concert, so I wasn't expecting a thing.  At the end when they had all the seniors sing their senior song, Gabrielle walked up to the microphone and sang the opening solo!  I was one emotional mom, crying that ugly cry.  I pulled it together, but it was the best surprise ever!

Gabrielle was a rock star this year with her seminary attendance.  She got up at 5:30 almost every morning to attend seminary before school.  She and her cousin Brayden graduated together after 4 years. Gabrielle was asked to speak at the graduation.  She did a nice job and made everyone laugh up there.  Now she is going to share that talk again in sacrament meeting on Sunday.  No rest for the weary!

Graduation!  We went to Longhorn to celebrate before graduation.  We found out alot of other people were celebrating there that night as well.  Gma and pa Krogh came with us and then we all headed to drop Gabrielle off and get in line to get in.  Conveniently, Gma and pa got special handicapped seating which allowed us some really good seats!

Gabrielle got a ring set from Randy and I with a star on it, since she is a "star"  in so many ways!

Gabs sang her solo at graduation as well.  She was pretty nervous.  That was ALOT of people to sing for!  She did great!

Party at our house the next evening!  Lots of friends came by to congratulate them!

We called ourselves the "graduating committee".  I think we can now relax just a little.
