First Pointe Shoes

I worked on this earlier and it didn't save, so now it will be the 2nd version which probably isn't as good as the first, but here goes:

Christiana's ballet class has been asking and asking to start pointe, so I finally gave in as they are old enough and strong enough.

It is, mind you, a pursuit that you work at very slowly, staying at the barre until you are strong enough to start exercises away from the barre. Alyssa joined us to be fitted for hers as well, and believe it or not, I was not the mother taking pictures!

They have new and improved products to attempt at keeping your toes protected. These pink and purple toes are the latest. Hope they work!

And up she goes! I actually used to work selling dance supplies and fitting dance shoes many years ago. It takes a few different brands and sizes to find the right fit.

They were both able to find a good fit and are looking forward to wearing them in class. But, before that, they will need to learn to sew on their ribbons and elastics. I hope they still like these beauties after a few classes in them!
