On to the Next Step

Christiana finishes out her years in elementary school today. She says goodbye to all the wonderful things about her school and moves on to more wonderful experiences in her new phase of life-middle school. Good thing we have summer break to get used to the idea.

Randy's parent's have come to all the graduations. They are so patient to sit through all the awards. There are alot! Christi and Alyssa will now separate and attend different middle schools. They will meet up again in high school. Such strange school boundaries around here.

Each child received a flower to give to someone who most influenced them and helped them. She gave it to me and her daddy because she said we helped so much with homework. I think she was just being nice including me in that. Randy is the one who really did the helping with homework. Her teacher told me she exceeded in Math on her standardized test score which is amazing. I owe it to a great teacher at school and great teacher at home, her dad.

She received awards for good grades, outstanding attendance, chorus, and service. I was proud of her accomplishments this year. This is her teacher. She is so small she looks like one of the 5th graders.

The kids wore their class t-shirts and at the end of the day they walk through the halls of the school one last time, while the other students and teachers line the hallways to wish them well.

Moving on to new things, I wish her the best.
Congratulations Christi-girl!

Love the rose idea! I too do not like how they did the boundaries around here. Anna will loose her friends when she goes to middle school, hoping she will meet up with a new friend next year that will be going to the same middle school.
I know Anna will miss Christiana next year.

Those pictures make me a little melancholy. Our girl is growing up. She is lovely inside and out. I know that middle school with be a great experience with all of her enthusiasm and friendliness. Congratulations Christiana. We LOVE you.
