She did it!

Eliza has always been my little timid one.  The first time I realized this was when I went to her preschool Christmas party and the children were playing a game exchanging gifts.  Eliza cried and ran to me.  I couldn't figure out why until it dawned on me that she didn't like all that attention of people watching her.  She would much rather stay back and watch someone ELSE be the center of attention.

Eliza has been taking this Hip Hop dance class.  She has her daddy's "funkiness" so it seemed right up her alley.  She has really done well, but definitely holds back as to what she can really do.  At this studio, they have the opportunity to audition for the company if they want more opportunities to perform.  Being on stage is not her favorite, but she is gradually getting warmed up to it.  I thought if she was in the company, she would grow in that area, get used to it, and learn to love it because she definitely has the talent for it.

So, long story short,  she decided to try-out, which means dancing in front of judges.  I was amazed that she wanted to do it and happy so we went with it and she took the plunge. She was nervous, but.. she did it!  And the results.....She made it!  I am so proud of my little timid one!

I am so proud of Eliza. She DID do it. She looks so happy sitting there with her friends and their numbers. It is a pretty big event! Congratulations to Eliza.
