Gettin' Ready

To back track just a little bit, the next post tells all about it, but this was our committee that worked together since Christmas to to get the ball rolling for the Cultural Celebration. We have been meeting at least weekly ever since. They are all amazing women and I loved working with them. This was our last meeting and most of us for some reason showed up in the same color. Me and one other didn't so, I sent Kathie upstairs to find us something to match!

This is her dear husband Rene, the co-chair with Kathie who put up with us every week. He had assignments to take our picture and put up with us eating all the time. He told us he went to look for biscuits the other day and Kathie said, "Ooops, sorry, I fed them to my girls."

We have our ID badges and now we are official!

Left to Right: Cheryl over Host Families and many other areas where needed including teaching the Waltz to our kids, Vicki our Secretary and filled in where needed including hospitality at the Civic Center which was SO important, Chrisan over Logistics getting information to EVERYONE and checking in the youth as they arrived-She had a huge team of people, Kathie who was in charge of EVERYTHING including writing the entire show, Me over Cast Directors- I had a huge team of people and got to choreograph a couple numbers, Mary over Flow (getting kids where they needed to be)-she had a huge team as well. Each of these people did way more than just their assigned job. Wonder Women!

Here's my team of Cast Directors. I am missing a few in this picture. They were awesome and I got to meet many new and amazing (have I used that word alot, or what?) people.

The coolest part was being able to work with Randy. We had rehearsals and meetings to attend together which was way fun!
