The girls and I had a scrapbook night at home, while the boys had a guys night out. We were missing Gabs, but she wasn't interested in hanging out with us on a Saturday night, go figure. Christiana and Eliza both worked on their own scrapbooks. They kept it simple, putting down pictures and writing about them. I didn't work on my own, so I was free to help them. They enjoyed remaniscing as they looked at their pictures. Eliza was determined to finish her whole stack of pictures. They were pleased with the results of their time and effort.
Our new favorite, peanut butter chocolate chip cookies were part of the whole girls night equation. They helped to make them and everyone helped to eat them. Yum!
The girls relaxed and looked at eachother's books. It is always nice to sit back and thumb through family memories. One of my favorite things to do. :)

Randy celebrated a birthday this month. We are carrying on the tradition of La Parilla birthdays at our house. We will always think of Grampy every time from now on.

Randy sports that sombrero pretty nicely, don't you think? He was surprised. Did he really think he'd get away with a quiet birthday dinner?

Happy Birthday Dad!

I chaperoned Eliza's field trip to the Fire Safety Village. It is the coolest place. It is a mini village, with a school, house, theater, square, etc. where the kids learn all kinds of ways to be safe in different situations. Eliza and her friend were the first to play a game to see how well they were listening.

STOP DROP AND ROLL!

They even learned bike safety.

They sat in the grass (it was fake) to wait for further instructions. It was a beautiful day! We have had up to 70 degree weather around here lately!
