Summer

Here are the updates for today. Randy's back is in major pain. Ever since he and his bros started this new business, he has had to set up and take down for their shows at the Sam's Clubs. Oh, and I'm not talking about the "shows" he used to do, (singing and dancing). I am talking about teeth whitening shows, where they stay at a Sam's Club for 11-18 days and then move to the next one. They are about to open their 4th set-up. That way they will have 4 running at the same time. His back has definitely taken a beating. Just as soon as it barely starts to feel better it's time to set up or take down again. I have also been told I am anemic. I went for my yearly check up and this is what they told me. O'kay, no wonder I am sooo very tired alot of the time. Not to mention, it is alot more work having kids at home all day! Well, I got my iron pills so hopefully my energy will start to kick in soon. Or maybe after the kids go back to school!!! Spencer is having fun with his buds this summer. I told him to enjoy, because next summer he will be getting a job! He also continues to punch and kick away at ETO. Gabrielle is continuing to work on her flute and has discovered a series of books she really enjoys. This girl who thought she didn't like to read. (Mom, you know the whole story :) Christiana--that girls wears me out. She is all about what are we doing today? Sometimes, I have to tell her absolutely nothing so that she will give me a break. She has been working on her swimming, practicing piano, and working on her Summer Bridge workbook. Eliza has been working on some workbooks too and I was surprised how much she wants to do and how much she already knows. Little smarty pants! She also has 3 birthday parties this week, 2 parties last week, and 1 the week before. OH my goodness girl! Where did all this come from? One of them was just a party to watch the new Disney movie Camp Rock. I had to pick her up at 10pm. when it was over. The big kids were like, "Where are you going?" I said "to pick up Eliza." " What? Eliza is out this late? Your usually picking us up!!!" 2 of the parties were kids in her preschool class, 1 from church and 2 are cousin parties which is unusual because neither one of them had parties last year. All in all it has been a great summer!

Carrie, it sounds like things are busy at your house too! Are you making time for So You Think You Can Dance? My girls are loving it! Can't wait to hear what you think. I am slightly anemic as well. My doc told me it takes weeks to build up the iron in our blood. Stay with it, you will eventually feel the benefits. Tell Randy we are praying for him. Bless his soul. He's one hard working daddy. Love you! Talk to you soon!

Carrie, I'm worried about Randy. Please tell him to hire some people to help set up. He won't make as much profit but it will be worth it!

Hope you are feeling better health wise.

Love you guys!

What can I say??? Keep on keeping on. Soon you'll be full of energy and Randy will be better. He needs to NOT do the setups and takedowns! Tell him Mom said!

This hectic life of raising a family is one that someday we look back on with longing. Try to enjoy this time it will be over before you know it. Hang in there.
We are keeping Randy in our prayers. Hope this gets over soon.
